Water Baptism
Scripture tells us that after one “repented” of sin and “believed” in Christ he/she was then baptized (Acts 2:37-38, 41; 8:12-13).
WHAT is the meaning of baptism?
Water baptism is an outward symbol of the internal renewal that takes place when you place your faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is a re-enactment of the transformation that takes place through faith with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. Baptism is a public confession of your new life in Christ and your desire to make Him first in your life.
WHEN should I be baptized?
Following conversion, there is no reason to delay baptism. (Acts 8:35-38). Baptism is a personal decision in obedience to the Lord. He does not expect you to attain to a certain level of perfection in order to prepare for baptism.
